| I found this vintage plate shelf! Woo Hoo! First, it needed repairs with wood filler, lots of wood filler! |
| I painted it with Annie Sloan's Old Ocre. I used two coats and distressed it. I used Wipe on Poly as a top coat. It still looked plain, so my hubby helped me add a wooden bead-board back. |

Oh- Who needs lights? Just hang it right over top of that stupid switch!;>)
That is a great looking piece. It ought to sell quickly- xo Diana
Amen! Great suggestion!
Great piece, Betsy! I love the new color and the beadboard backing. It's too bad it won't fit where you wanted it in your laundry room. Maybe you will find another place you can put it.
So pretty Betsy! That is another one of my favorite colors!I am sure you will find the perfect spot for it!

Just cut a hole out for the switch! :.)
I think it looks wonderful-I love the bead board.
I also finally took a peek at your
kitties-they are so cozy looking-just love them!
That is such a great piece! I love the addition of the beadboard.
I love it--I have a similar one I want to add beadboard too also!
Very pretty! The beadboard was the perfect addition! Bummer that it wouldn't fit in the space you intended! Hope you find a new home for it! :)
Thank you! I have walked this all over our home and cannot find a wall for it! :( Not enough wall space! Thanks for your sweet thoughts! have a great weekend!

Just got back from a week in sunny Florida...I love the shelf Betsy....now, can you cut a hole in the back of the shelf where the light switch goes?...just place an item in front of it on the shelf that is easily moved when you have to turn the switch off and on....I have done that before and worked well!!...
Bummer! (Although, I really like Shirley's idea)! If it won't work in the laundry room, I'm sure you'll find the perfect spot for it ... you must showcase it somewhere as the transformation you gave it is fabulous!
Thank you for the suggestions! The cut would have to be made in the side, at the back. I'm afraid I would mess it up! It would cut several pieces. I really appreciate your suggestions though! It is a small wall and I was pushing it, but just couldn't leave it without trying it.
